The Coup D'etat

Yes, the United States of America should be able to operate this organization and Train people -who are willing to practice the Coup D'etat.
For Several reasons:

-The United States is a Nation of Imperialism.

+Hawaii is perfect scenario of our Imperialism; we took it over and made it our 50th state on August 21, 1959.

-We have 68 army bases in 68 other Countries.

+Come on now who can with stand us? We have 68 ARMY BASES around the world from this -the S.O.A. Why would we come to a hault with the S.O.A; we've gain majority of these areas because of the S.O.A.! Nobody body wants to step up to the plate when it comes to the battle with America because WE are Global!!!

-We didn't build the School of America for Foreigners satisfaction.

+This sentences says it all. Furthermore when I was exploring the anti-S.O.A website most of the images and supporters, seem to be Non-American descent; that seem to be more concerned about their own countries and not so much the U.S.. This is stated by one of the activist in Venezuela "Similar events mark SOA-trained counterinsurgency wars all across Latin America. On November 17, 2005 troops commanded by a SOA-graduate killed Colombian Peace Community-leader Arlen Salas David. " Also majority of these foreigners are from Latin American areas.

-S.O.A has helped us gain land Such as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam.

+Yes, all perfect examples of the effects of the S.O.A and after the gain of these several pieces of land we become a Colonial and Imperial Power to the world!! Can I get and Amen; because it really and truly is a blessing.

-Extra Fact: we have 98 covert operations & 12 overt operations -overthrowing Governments.

+Majority from the Assistance of the School of Americas! That's all I'm saying ...

P.S. Now ask your self this question would you shut down the School of Americas? Who in their right mind would??

The Truth always comes up Missing ...

Yellow Journalism also know as Yellow Press:

-"Rangel found guilty of ethics violations" - CNN CLICK ON PICTURE FOR SOURCE.
-the ethics committee chairwoman, found "clear and convincing" evidence of guilt -CNN

The way my example relates to Yellow journalism is it conveys 3 of the 5 things that make a Media file yellow press material. 1.scare headlines of minor news;
2.lavish use of picture(s), 3.use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudo-science, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts .

I agreed ... until technology failed!

I’m honestly on the fence with the blogging assessment system (B.A.S), just because there are pros and cons about the blogging assessment system; but since I have to choose. I agree with the blogging assessment system mainly because the fact technology is our future; so we mine as well begin adapting to the blogging assessment system. Also the blogging assessment system is a great way of preparing us for the real world - college - which revolves around technology; but when technology fails to work properly the blogging assessment system is hell to pay, especially if you’re a procrastinator. And when it comes to the Internet it's ridiculous: something is always crashing or down!

Furthermore with the pros of blogging assessment system simply way easier and convenient to do it this way because everything is just a click away. Compared to paper and pen; which involves research you'll have to do out of non-legit text books and eventually end up going to the internet for a sense of direction. So why not just be time consuming and use this technological advancement? Where everything is right there; and you don’t have to have all these materials to get this simple task done. That takes less than an hour to complete. Time consuming like I stated earlier; is something a high school student like myself needs. From my AP and honor classes to my extracurricular activities I am a part of, I need things that are straight forward and to the point. If I get the concept of it I feel there is no need to go in-depth with it - no need for any BUSY WORK I’m busy enough.

Now with the con of the blogging assessment system s: Crashing, the server is down, internet is not working, or the internet is to slow – procrastinators are under a time constraint – is a few of the many bad things about technology. At times the blogging assessment system can be a blessing but then again a pain in the butt. And when it comes to something that is due the next day or even the next period, the blogging assessment system causes for you to wish that , the blogging assessment system was a simple pen and paper assignment; that you could complete right there and then during class; and not have to go through the whole blogging process.

In essences, yes I do agree with the blogging assessment system. The blogging assessment system is a far more educational experience than just writing with pen and paper. Like I stated in one of my past blogs "my learning" is "different with blogging compared to the non-exciting and uninteresting writing with pen and paper; because I just feel that typing is way more convenient than writing." also "it was a far more educational experience than just writing with pen and paper. I learned that I could blog offline with Office Word 2007 – it’s awesome - and upload it later to another computer. I also learned a couple other things just from visiting other websites or links for assistances with my blogging process." So, yeah there may be cons about the blogging assessment system but in the end the pros overcome the cons. I think we should keep the B.A.S around and continue with better improvements and ideas on how to make the blogging assessment system a lot more fun and creative; because I enjoy it more than writing with pen and paper but where’s the fun in this?

"Blogging vs. Papering"

Yes, my learning was different with blogging compared to the non-exciting and uninteresting writing with pen and paper; because I just feel that typing is way more convenient than writing. Futhermore it was a far more educational experience than just writing with pen and paper. I learned that I could blog offline with Office Word 2007 - it is awesome - and upload it later to another computer. Also I also learned a couple other things just from visting other websites or links for assitances with my blogging process.

You Blog??!! ... No, it's for Mr.Meechin ....

My favorite blog topic from the first quarter was number one:"Find a historical image that is appropriate for the academic nature of your blog. Post your image and discuss why you chose the photo and what the viewer should take away from the photo." Which was from Week Four: Civil War [Due Sep 17]. Reason being was because it was a topic that really hit me emotionally and taught me something new; I didnt know before I got to your class - Mr.Meechin.

"The Pursit of Happiness to the Land of Oppurtunties"

"Immigrants with their belongings pictured outside the Main Building at Ellis Island." Ready for a new experience; on what? What, they just left. "With a great amount of mass comes disaster." -Geradar Victor.

After exploring the photographs and the great amount of people coming in as families; I realized the feelings and experiences immigrants coming to the United States at the turn of the century seemed very eager to just experience something new in a place full with oppurtunites and freedom. Little did they know things that are known by the public are not the best experiences. Here is a picture were "Immigrants are sworn in as United States citizens at a 1917 naturalization ceremony in Newark, New Jersey."- It's pretty packed. Also very excited -immigrants - ready to began fresh as you can see in this picture. Where they are"Approved for entry, these immigrants wait in the Ellis Island Railroad Ticket Office." Is fully loaded with kids, women and men with so much hope and faith in their hearts for a better life; In my opinion they will not recieve what's so ever because the capacity of people in that little area caused for just complete hardship and criminal activity to arise. Resulting in disaster!

The Chase of Death ...

Whoa! The life of Factory worker in the 19th century was no joke. Life must have been like hell for these textile factory workers. With the lyrics beginninng off with "fingers weary and worn, with eye-lids heavy and red ..." created this image of worn out women; that were no older than 25 years old looking as if they were in their late 40's early 50's; ready to catch death in it's tracks. Honestly they seemed just miserable out of their minds! It get's very emotional to talk about this type of stuff, because it's sad to see how much people take technology advancements for granted. When people - ancestors - had to go through these horrible conditions for us to have a better lifestyle.
